Margaret “Louise” Shaw, age 79, passed away from a broken heart on July 18th, 2020. She was born on October 14, 1940 in Pahokee, Florida to Bud and Sarah Wallace, she lived in Fort Gaines, Georgia for the majority of her childhood. There she met her future husband, Jimmy. She eloped and married her longtime friend and love, Jimmy Turner Shaw, in 1957 at the tender age of 17. Margaret was an excellent singer who enjoyed blues, bluegrass, and gospel music. After Moving to Overtown in Miami, Florida in the late 1950s, she and her husband became active members of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist church before and after it was relocated to its present location at 1745 NW 79th St, Miami, Florida. Out of all of Margaret’s jobs, she enjoyed working with her husband the most at “Maggies” which was the bakery that they both owned. Margaret overcame two types of cancer and was a strong woman. Margaret was a God-fearing woman with an infectious laugh who, like her husband, believed in honesty and integrity. She was a master cook in the kitchen who loved entertaining and feeding people. She took extreme pride in all of our family. Margaret is survived by her sister, Sandra Wallace Dias, her three daughters; Lutricia Grant (Sam), Connie Shaw and Kathy Davis (Johnnie), grandchildren; Keota Fields, Tiffany McGee, Ebony Zamora (Harold), Stephanie Ingraham (Charles), Nastassja Dean, Jeremy Campbell (Nicole), Samantha Grant, Jahlani Shaw; plus 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces and 1 godson, Jonathon Sapp.
